The Fresno State women's basketball team closes out non-conference play with a 7 p.m. game at CSU Bakersfield on Thursday in the Icardo Center.
This will be just the fifth-ever meeting between the two schools and Fresno State won the previous four matchups.
The Bulldogs (7-5) are in the midst of a six-game road swing that spans over 27 days. Fresno State is 1-3 on this road trip and just 1-5 on the road all season, so the 'Dogs will be looking for a road win on Thursday to propel them into conference play.
Fresno State is fourth in the Mountain West in scoring at 67.2 points per game and is third in scoring defense, allowing just 59.3 points per game. The Bulldogs have held seven opponents to 60 or fewer points this season.
Junior guard Ki-Ki Moore continues to be ranked fourth in the conference in scoring, as she is averaging 15.8 points per game. Moore, who has scored in double figures in 11-of-12 games this year, is coming off an 18-point performance is Fresno State's last game on Dec. 29.
The Bulldogs fell in their last outing that was at Santa Clara. Fresno State shot 37.9 percent in the game, but only 34.6 percent in the second half when it had 10 turnovers.
Fresno State had three players (Moore, Alex Sheedy and Bree Farley) score in double figures at Santa Clara. The Bulldogs have had three or more players put in 10 points or more in 9-of-12 games this season.
► The Bulldogs are 4-0 all-time against CSU Bakersfield. The schools last met on Dec. 8, 2010 when Fresno State won 75-67 at the Icardo Center.
► Fresno State is looking to break out of its road-slump. The 'Dogs are shooting just 36 percent away from home and averaging only 62.5 points per game. At home, Fresno State shoots 41.5 percent and averages 71.8 points per game.
