Erica Henry Named GoBulldogs.com Athlete of the Week

Henry, who was also named the WAC Player of the Week on January 7, helped Fresno State to a perfect start in WAC play last week.

Fresno State senior Erica Henry has been named the Toyota/GoBulldogs.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of January 7 following her performance last week against Louisiana Tech and Boise State. Henry, who was also named the WAC Player of the Week on January 7, helped Fresno State to a perfect start in WAC play last week. Henry helped the Bulldogs to a 75-52 win over Louisiana Tech and a 73-63 victory against preseason WAC favorite Boise State.

Against Louisiana Tech, Henry had 16 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and two blocks. In the win over Boise State, the 6-2 center had eight points, five rebounds, two steals and one block.

Henry averaged 12.0 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 53 percent (8-15) from the field in the two victories. She also tallied six steals, three blocks, and two assists over the two games.

Also nominated was Nedeljko Golubovic from the men's basketball team.
