COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fresno State junior guard Ki-Ki Moore has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
This is the second time this year Moore has been named the league's player of the week.
Moore led Fresno State to a 2-0 record and sole possession of second place in the MW standings with a road win at New Mexico (51-50) and a home win versus Wyoming (61-47). Against New Mexico, Moore scored a game-high 15 points on 6-of-10 (.600) from the field, tied her season-high with seven assists and grabbed four rebounds. Moore had her sixth 20-point game of the season against Wyoming to go along with three rebounds, four assists and five steals.
For the week, Moore was 15-of-27 (.556) from the floor and hit 5-of-8 (.625) from the free throw line. She averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.0 steals over the two games. Moore also averaged 35.0 minutes per game.
Moore ranks third in the conference in scoring, averaging 16.6 points per game. She also ranks eighth in the league with 3.5 assists and leads the conference with 3.04 steals per game, which ranks 24th in the nation.
