FRESNO, Calif.- - Amid preparations for the upcoming 2008-09 season members of the Fresno State women's basketball team have found some time to get away from the game and have fun. Jaleesa Ross, Bailey Amundsen and Marnique Arnold recently gave gobulldogs.com an update on how they have spent their summer.

Bailey Amundsen
1- How have you spent your summer?
I have been working out four times a week with an old coach and doing small jobs on the side like working camps and babysitting.

2- What is your favorite thing you have done other than working out and playing ball?
I am going to Las Vegas in a month.

3- What did you learn this last year that will benefit you this upcoming season?
We were a better team than people thought we were last year. This next year can only be better with the players we have returning.

4- Is there one part of your game you have worked on this summer?
I have been really working on attacking the basket.

5- Favorite movie you have seen this summer?
Sex in the City.

Marnique Arnold

1- How have you spent your summer?
I went to Kingsland, Georgia for two weeks but other than that I have gone to summer school and worked out everyday.

2- What is your favorite thing you have done outside of basketball this summer?
Going to Busch Gardens Theme Park in Florida.

3- What is one thing you learned this past year that will benefit you this upcoming year?
Balancing school, practice and basketball.

4- Is there one part of your game you have worked on this summer?
My shot.

5- Favorite movie you have seen this summer?
The Hulk.

1- How have you spent your summer?
I have been working out every other day and lifting weights. I've been back and forth between Fresno and home (Pinole). On the 4th of July I did go with some friends to Wild Waters in Clovis. In August I am going camping at the Russian River with my family.

2- What is your favorite thing you have done outside playing basketball this summer?
I watched a high school boys basketball tournament in Los Angeles.

3- What did you learn this past year that will benefit you this upcoming year?
I really learned how to balance school and basketball. I will manage my time a lot differently this year.

4- Is there one part of your game you have worked on this summer?
My midrange game and shooting off the dribble. I have been shooting at least 300 shots a day.

5- Favorite movie you have seen this summer?
I don't think I have been to one.

6- What is your favorite thing you have done with your family this summer?
We had a celebration for my brother and sister who graduated from high school.

7- What is the latest you have slept?
12 p.m.
