A crowd of 150 family and friends from New York to Los Angeles gathered to see this magnificent event fit for a queen. The setting was gorgeous at the home of Fresno State President Dr. John D. Welty and his wife Sharon. The bride arrived in a white carriage, accompanied by the couple's children, and was escorted down the aisle by her father Ben, and the couple's eldest son, Connor.

The wedding party of 20 close friends and family entered to "You Sang to Me," by Marc Anthony. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Scott Gossenburger. Our Fresno State women's basketball team showed their unity and support by singing "Circle of Friends" as the entire wedding party joined hands in a cirlce with the bride and groom.

Stacy Johnson sang "If Tomorrow Never Comes," which she rewrote and arranged for her groom. the couple then watched each of their children light a long-stemmed candle, and the couple then picked up all four to light their unity candle as Stephanie Higgins sang, "I hope You Dance," the couple's theme song, to symbolize the family unity.

Reverend Gossenburger prayed for the Klein family before he presented Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Klein. The Klein family left the ceremony for a brief ride in the carriage as the guests were seated for dinner. After a lovely dinner, the couple shared their first dance. Not much later, the Fresno State women's basketball team cut and served the cake, which was beautiful. However, the groom's "Bulldog" cake was the favorite.

As the bride tossed her bouquet, Coach Klein "yelled" that, "One of my players better not catch this!" With a great effort from her team, team manager Barbara Johnson, a former Bulldog player, caught the bouquet.

Coach Klein spent a very brief honeymoon with her husband on an island and jumped right back into the business at hand -- recruiting.

"We are so happy to begin our lives in California," Johnson-Klein said. "My philosophy is God, family, education, and then basketball. Now it is time to build a Top 25 team. Go Bulldogs!"
