Two Bulldogs Recognized by College Sports Madness

    FRESNO, Calif. - Junior guard Ki-Ki Moore and sophomore forward Alex Sheedy of the Fresno State women's basketball team were honored by the website College Sports Madness in its annual preseason Mountain West All-Conference team selections announced this week.

    Moore took top honors as the MW preseason Player of the Year as well as being named preseason first-team all-conference. As a sophomore, Moore was the WAC Player of the Year in her first season with the Bulldogs. Moore started all 34 games for the 'Dogs while averaged 16.8 points per game, which led the team and was the second-highest average in the conference. She tallied 571 points during the season, ranking No. 3 in program single-season history. Moore led the WAC in steals with 97 on the year, averaging 2.8 per game, as well as leading the team in rebounds with 7.2 per game in her 2011-12 campaign.

    Sheedy was honored with preseason second-team all-conference honors, being one of two sophomores to be recognized by the website. As a true freshman, Sheedy started in 33-of-34 games for the 'Dogs. She averaged 6.6 points per game, 4.0 rebounds and 20.1 minutes per game.

    Bulldog fans can catch their first glimpse of the 2012-13 team at the Red vs. White scrimmage on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Save Mart Center. Along with the scrimmage will be a 3-point challenge that will pit the winner of the men's competition against the champion of the women's contest. A dunk contest will also be showcased on the men's side. Admission is free to the public.
