FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's basketball team hits the court for the first time this year on Tuesday when it hosts Fresno Pacific in an exhibition game on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Save Mart Center.

The Bulldogs are entering their first season under the direction of first-year head coach Raegan Pebley and return 4-of-5 starters from last year's team that won a school record 28 games and reached the NCAA Tournament for the fifth-straight season.

Pebley said she has been pleased with how her team has adapted to the philosophies that her staff has installed since the Bulldogs began practices back on Sept. 30.

"It's not something that can get done overnight, it's going to be a process throughout the year," Pebley said. "Establishing the culture of the program they are beginning to adapt to as well as the offensive and defensive systems."

Fresno State was picked to finish second in the Mountain West preseason poll that was released last week, as the Bulldogs are entering their first season in the league. The Bulldogs won four WAC regular season championships in their last five seasons in the WAC.

"We are a veteran team that understands and knows the tradition that we have here at Fresno State," Pebley said. "At the same time, we are young. We have a huge sophomore class, we've got a couple of young freshmen that are going to have to be ready to play for us early and we only have two seniors, but they are two very important seniors in Rosie Moult and Jeanna Furst and we are going to rely on their leadership."

Junior guard Ki-Ki Moore was voted to the All-Mountain West preseason team. Moore, a 5-8 guard from San Francisco, Calif., was the 2012 WAC Player of the Year, 2012 WAC Newcomer of the Year and 2012 WAC Tournament MVP in her first season with the Bulldogs. She led the team with 16.8 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game and 2.8 steal per game last year.

Senior guard/forward Rosie Moult, junior guard Taylor Thompson and sophomore forward Alex Sheedy join Moore as the Bulldogs' four returning starters.
