Bulldogs Play at TCU

The series is tied at five between the two schools.

Fort Worth, Texas - After weekend games at UCSB and USC, the Bulldogs travel Southwest for a game at TCU of the Mountain West Conference. Tipoff is at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday. Bulldog fans can listen to the game live via the TCU website at www.gofrogs.com.

Fresno State vs. TCU
The series between Fresno State and TCU is tied at five. Fresno State won last year's meeting over the then No. 22 Lady Frogs 75-71. The Bulldogs went on a 19-2 run over the final six minutes to earn the victory. The two teams played Nov. 28, 2007 in Forth Worth and TCU came away with a 75-63 victory.

Scouting TCU
TCU is 1-0 after beating Houston Baptist 109-30 on Nov. 15. TCU returns everybody from last years NCAA tournament team. Helena Sverrisdottir leads the Lady Frogs as she was named to the Preseason Mountain West Teams.

Celebrating the 2008-09 WAC Champions
In Sunday's home opener against Saint Mary's the Fresno State women's basketball team will receive their WAC championship rings for winning the WAC regular season and tournament championship and the banners will be dropped for going to a second straight NCAA tournament game and for winning winning the WAC titles.

Recapping Opening Weekend
Fresno State opened the season with a victory at UC Santa Barbara, 84-76 on Friday thanks to a career-high 25 points from Jaleesa Ross. The Bulldogs led USC on Sunday for a majority of the game but a late run by the Trojans gave Fresno State its first defeat. Jaleesa Ross had 22 points and Hayley Munro had 21 points while hitting five 3-pointers.

Ross Climbing the School Record Books
Jaleesa Ross has hit 190 3-pointers in her two plus seasons as a Bulldog. The 190 3-pointers ranks her third on the schools career Top 10 list for 3-pointers made. She needs 33 3-pointers to pass Staci Oddo (1993-96) and move into second place. Her 95 3-pointers made last season is a new Fresno State single season record, breaking the previous mark of 89, set by Ross last year and Lindsay Logan in 2000-01. The 95 3-pointers ranks Ross is fifth on the single season Top 10 list in the WAC for most 3-pointers made in a year.

Fresno State Against the Mountain West
Since Adrian Wiggins has been head coach of the Bulldogs, Fresno State is 4-3 against the Mountain West Conference. The Bulldogs are 1-1 against BYU, TCU, and Utah and 1-0 against UNLV. Two of the four wins have been on the road at Utah and UNLV.
