Dallas, Tx.- The Fresno State women's basketball team is in Dallas, Tx., for the SMU Hoops For The Cure Tournament. The Bulldogs open the tournament at 3 p.m. Pacific time when they play Charlotte of the Atlantic 10. Charlotte is 3-2 and they played in last year's WNIT tournament.

The Bulldogs enter Friday's game with a 3-0 record. Fresno State will play SMU or Sam Houston State on Saturday evening.

Bulldogs Play at SMU Hoops For The Cure Tournament
Fresno State will spend the Thanksgiving Holiday in Dallas, Tx., as they play in the Hoops For The Cure Tournament hosted by SMU. The Bulldogs play Charlotte on Friday, November 28 and will then play SMU or Sam Houston State on Saturday.

Scouting the 49ers
Charlotte is 3-2 after suffering an eight-point home loss to Wake Forest on Wednesday. Aysha Jones leads the team in scoring at 15.4 points a game while Erin Floyd is netting 13 points a contest. Danielle Burgin leads the 49ers in rebounding at 8.6 a contest.

Bulldogs vs. Charlotte
This is the second meeting the two schools.The only other meeting was March 22, 1990 when the Bulldogs dropped a 70-67 contest at Charlotte.

The Week That Was
Fresno State went 2-0 last week, defeating UCSB 71-54 in its home opener and Sacra-mento State 74-68 in Sacramento. Bailey Amundsen had a career high against UCSB while Jaleesa Ross had 19 points in the win over the Hornets. This is the third time in the last five years the Bulldogs have started the season 3-0.



And the Award Goes Too...
Bailey Amundsen became the first Bulldog to earn WAC Player of the Week honors for her performances against UCSB and Sacramento State where she averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds. Amundsen had a career high 26 points against UCSB as the Bulldogs hit a school and WAC record of 16 3-pointers in the game. She had 12 points and nine rebounds against Sacramento State.

Seeing Double
Bailey Amundsen has recorded a double-double in two of the teams first three games. Against Cal-State Bakersfield she had 17 points and a career high 12 rebounds and she followed that up with a career high 26 points and 11 rebounds. Against Sacramento State she had 12 points and was one rebound away from a third straight double-double as she finished with nine boards. The Bulldogs had seven double-doubles last year, with five coming from Erica Henry.

26 and Counting ...
Jaleesa Ross has hit a 3-pointer in 26 straight games dating back to last season. The NCAA record for consective games hitting a three pointer in a career is 60 andthe single season record is 32 by Michelle Hughes of Portland State in 1991. During the 26-game stretch Ross has hit three 3-pointers or more in 17 of the games. Her career high for most three's in a game is seven.

Bulldogs Scorch Nets for School and WAC Record 16 3-pointers
Fresno State hit a school and WAC record 16 3-pointers in the win over UCSB. The previous record was 15, set by the 1989 Bulldog team that beat Baylor on December 1. The Bulldogs hit 13 3-pointers in the season opener against Cal-State Bakersfield. Dat¬ing back to last year the Bulldogs have 10 3-pointers or more in a game in 16 different games. The WAC record for most 3-pointers made in a game was 15 by New Mexico in the1995-96 season.
