Bulldogs Give Back During Holiday Season

FRESNO, Calif. --- Fresno State Athletics is hosting a blood drive, canned food drive and toy drive as well as offering a chance for fans to take a holiday picture with Timeout during the month of December.
The Fresno State Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) will be putting on a two day blood drive this weekend, Dec. 13-14. SAAC will host the first day of the event at the Fresno Donor Center this Friday from 2-6 p.m. Day two of the blood drive will be held on Saturday from 11a.m.-2 p.m. in the Save Mart Center parking lot prior to the women's basketball team hosting Portland at 2 p.m.
All donors will receive a free t-shirt and a ticket voucher to use at a women's basketball game.
Also on Saturday the Bulldogs are working in partnership with the Bulldog Pantry and holding a holiday canned food drive. Fans that bring canned food items to donate will receive free admission to the game. All food donated will go directly back into the local Fresno community.
In addition to the blood drive and canned food drive on Saturday, fans will have the opportunity to come take their holiday pictures in a winter wonderland with the one and only Timeout at the Save Mart Center on the main concourse. Photos will take place from 1p.m. when gates open until 2:15 p.m., just after tip-off. Fresno State staff will be photographing fans and posting the photos to the official Facebook of Fresno State Athletics.
Looking ahead, on Dec. 20 when the women's basketball team face University of San Francisco there will be an annual toy drive taking place. All fans are encouraged to bring a new, unopened toy to the Save Mart Center box office where they will receive free admission to the game. All donations will go straight to Kids Kasa foster care in Fresno.
