FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 8 top moment in Fresno State Athletics in 2012 was the banner season set by the 2011-12 women's basketball team.

The Bulldogs had plenty to celebrate after a season of winning their fifth WAC title, making their fifth NCAA appearance and finishing the year with a program-best record of 28-6.

The 'Dogs were named the regular season WAC champion after going 13-1 in league play and proceeded to win the conference tournament in dominant fashion over rival Louisiana Tech 89-61.

Several records were written throughout the 2011-12 season for the 'Dogs as a team and individually.

The Bulldogs recorded the most wins in program history for a single-season with 28. This included 12 straight wins, the second longest winning streak in program history.

The 'Dogs recorded a Fresno State single-season record of 332 3-point makes, which was also the third-most made 3-pointers out of 336 Division I teams in 2011-12.

Individually, Ki-Ki Moore and Rosie Moult rewrote the record books in 2011-12. Moore set a new single-season record with 97 steals and also etched her name into third place in single-season scoring with 571 points.

Moore was named the WAC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. She led the 'Dogs with 16.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Moore was second in the WAC in scoring and first in steals per game. The San Francisco native was named WAC Player of the Week four times in 2011-12.

Moult drained a Fresno State single-game record nine 3-pointers against Seattle University en route to a career-high 27 points.

The Australian native led the team and league with 94 3-pointers and averaged 13.1 points per game. Moult averaged 2.9 treys per game, which ranked No. 8 among all 3-point shooters in the nation and best in the WAC. She earned All-WAC honors for the third-straight year.

Taylor Thompson led the team with 124 assists, while only turning the ball over 58 times. She earned All-WAC honors for the second year in a row.
