04/28/2012 A Day To Celebrate SuccessThe Fresno State equestrian team had a wonderful day to celebrate its season accomplishments, its seniors and the unveiling of the new scoreboard. 04/09/2012 National Championships Have ArrivedThe No. 10 Fresno State equestrian team is in its final days of preparation for the National Championships that will be held in Waco, Texas from April 12-14. 03/26/2012 Moses Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the WeekMichelle Moses led the Bulldogs to a series victory at Nevada to kick off conference play. 03/24/2012 Elsbernd Named Reserve ChampionFresno State senior Holly Elsbernd earned the Reserve Champion title at the 2nd Annual Pin Oak Invitational. 03/22/2012 Elsbernd Off to TexasSenior Equitation over Fences captain Holly Elsbernd was invited to compete at the Pin Oak Invitational in Houston, Texas. Last updated: Dec. 8, 2011 Fresno State: (2010-11) A strong competitor in Equitation over Fences ... won seven and tied one out of the 13 matches during the season ... earned MVP honors against TCU with a score of 78 ... had a high score of 86 for the season against Delaware State ... was one of three Fresno State Equestrian riders to win her point in the 2011 Varsity Equestrian National Championships (VENC) ... received her second varsity letter ... won Honorable Mention All American award at VENC ... was voted to be captain for Equitation over Fences for the 2011-12 season. (2009-10) Competed in 11 events this season and earned seven wins and an MVP honor against Kansas State ... earned a score of 80 or above in four of her matches ... competed in her first VENC earning a point for Fresno State against TCU ... maintained a high average score of 76 throughout the season ... earned her first varsity letter. Granada HS: Three-year equestrian team captain ... started the IEL equestrian team at her high school ... was on the high school honor roll ... earned numerous year-end Champion awards in Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation receiving first place finishes and qualified for several medals... 2008 San Fernando Valley Horse Show Association 18 & Over Medal Final Champion ... a Dean's List student. Personal: Born May 13, 1989 in Mission Hills, Calif. ... parents are Dana and Mark Elsbernd ... has one younger brother, Tyler ... hobbies include being outdoors, the beach and running ... lists her biggest athletic thrill as winning and competing in jumpers ... most admires her parents for giving her the opportunities to become the rider she is and always supporting her ... chose to attend Fresno State because she liked the team atmosphere and wanted to compete at a Division 1 level. |
