Equestrian Shines in Home Opener Win

Fresno State's Lauren Crivelli, Dayle Fischer and Macy Wilson earned MVP honors to lead Fresno State to a 15-5 equestrian victory over New Mexico State.

Fresno State: (2010-11) As one of the team captains she brought strong performances and leadership to the program ... competed in nine Equitation over Fences matches winning six of them and recorded a high score of 85 ... also competed in three Equitation on the Flat matches ... was the first ever Bulldog to compete at the Winter Equestrian Festival and earned a 6th place finish ... won Honorable All American award at VENC 2011.

(2009-10) Took a break from competition.

(2008-09) Went 9-6 and captured wins over Georgia, TCU, South Dakota State, Oklahoma State, Delaware State, New Mexico State, University of South Carolina and Tennessee-Martin ... earned three MVP honors against three different opponents ... Rookie of the Year recipient as an English rider ... earned the only victory against defending national champion team Georgia at VENC Championships.

Westlake HS: A 2006 freshman I.E.L. overall reserve champion and equitation reserve champion ... comes from Westlake Village, Calif., and hails from the same training stable as former Bulldog standout Katie Nenneker ... competed for the Internationally renowned Foxfield Bridleless/Saddleless Drill Team.

Personal: Born January 1, 1990 in Westlake Village, Calif. ... parents are Janie Hewson and Viktor Budnik ... enjoys music, being with her horse, hanging out with friends and reading ... a member of the Foxfield drill team where they rode without saddles or bridles and would jump her horse four feet, six inches with no hands ... lists her favorite athlete as her horses because they always try hard for her ... her biggest athletic thrill is being on the Foxfield Bridleless, Saddleless Drill Team ... came to Fresno State because of former team member and friend Katie Nenneker was on the team and encouraged her to come here.
