The Fresno State equestrian team had a wonderful day to celebrate its season accomplishments, its seniors and the unveiling of the new scoreboard.
The Western team competed in the Second Round Friday evening falling in the consolation bracket to the No. 4 seed Auburn University.
Fresno State defeated No. 8 New Mexico State in the second competition of the Bulldogs trip to New Mexico.
The Bulldogs rode against No. 2 Auburn in the first competition of the weekend in Las Cruces, N.M.
The Fresno State equestrian team hosted its final home competition of the 2011-12 season Saturday with a Red and Blue team scrimmage.
The Fresno State Equestrian team is having an excellent season and ranked No. 9 in the nation.

2011-12 (Senior): Competed in the seven Horsemanship events winning four of them ... recorded a collegiate best score of 77.5 against the New Mexico State Aggies ...maintained a season-average score of 71 ... competed at the National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championships and was the only Bulldog to earn her point against Auburn in the second round with a 140.5 ... earned her fourth varsity letter.
2010-2011 (Junior): Competed in two events in Horsemanship recording a 69.5 at both events ... competed against Delaware and New Mexico State University.
2009-10 (Sophomore): Competed in nine events in Horsemanship events earning wins against UC Davis and Sacred Heart University ... competed in her second Varsity Equestrian National Championship (VENC) and earned her second varsity letter.
2008-2009 (Freshman): Captured two wins against Tennessee-Martin and Delaware State ... earned a season high score of 74.5 against Tennessee-Martin in Horsemanship.
High School: Graduate of Clovis West High School ... won multiple California Show Championships and cumulative season awards ... she was the APHA Reserve World Champion as a youth rider.
Personal: Born May 20, 1990 in Fresno, Calif. ... parents are Lisa and Steve Warkentin ... has a younger brother, Ryan, and a younger sister, Kady ... she held the principals medallion award for her high school GPA ... hobbies include spending time with her friends and family ... most admires her mom because she is always supportive of her decisions and giving her encouragement ... chose to attend Fresno State because it was in her hometown.
