    Dogs Open 2011 at Home

The No. 10 Bulldogs will kick off the second part of their season with a scrimmage at home against Miami of Ohio and Ohio State. The women's equestrian team wrapped up the fall semester in Las Cruces, New Mexico with two head to head matches against No. 3 Georgia and No. 9 New Mexico State. Junior captain, Kimberly Hewson Budnik, was the only Bulldog to earn both her points in the matches. The Dogs are ready to start the new year off right and look forward to their second meeting with the Miami of Ohio and the Ohio State equestrian teams. The English team will be taking on Miami of Ohio with six riders in both Equitation on the Flat and Equitation Over Fences. The Western team will take on Ohio State with four riders in the Reining competition and six riders in the Horsemanship. Both Miami of Ohio and Ohio State are not recognized as NCAA equestrian teams, therefore the event on Saturday will count as a scrimmage for the Bulldogs.
