FRESNO, Calif. - Senior Equitation over Fences captain Holly Elsbernd was invited to compete at the 2nd Annual Pin Oak Invitational on March 24 in Houston, Texas.

"We are excited to take Holly to represent Fresno State at Pin Oak," said head Hunt Seat coach Julia Scrivani. "This event is great because it allows the industry to see NCAA Equestrian Riders and gives our riders an opportunity to compete on privately owned horses which will level the playing field."

Elsbernd, a native from Granada Hills, Calif., has had an outstanding senior year performing in the arena. She has picked up six wins over Fences and one win on the Flat. Elsbernd competed in every competition this season and earned two MVP honors along the way.

Elsbernd was one of eight riders from across the nation invited to compete in the Pin Oak Invitational. She will ride against Rice's Dana Gross on Saturday March 24 at 5 p.m.

The Pin Oak Invitational will be the main event of the evening at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show. It will have many vendors and sponsored tables to raise money for the Texas Children's Hospital, Houston's Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms and Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance.
