Equestrian Produces Three All-Americans

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State freshman Macy Wilson was named an NCEA All-American, while teammates Kimberly HewsonBudnik and Lauren Crivelli were named Honorable Mention All-Americans for the 2011-12 season.
"We are very excited to celebrate the achievement of All-American with Macy, Lauren and Kimmi," said head Hunt Seat coach Julia Scrivani. "It is exciting Macy received this prestigious award her freshman year, and that she is the first bulldog to receive this honor. Macy is a great competitor and we are excited to see her compete at Nationals."
Wilson, a native of Chico, Calif., was the first Fresno State Bulldog to earn an All-American honor since the award was created in 2010. The NCEA selection committee chose the top four riders in each of the four events, and after her stand-out freshman season Wilson was award the honor for Equitation on the Flat.
Wilson competed in seven events this season, winning six of them and earning three MVP honors. She maintained an average score of 80 in Equitation on the Flat in just her first year as a Bulldog.
This was HewsonBudnik's second Honorable Mention All-American award for Equitation on the Flat, as she was one of the first recipients in the inaugural season of the award. HewsonBudnik picked up seven wins and four MVPs on the Flat this season and over Fences she earned three wins and one MVP honor.
Fresno State sophomore Crivelli, a native of Visalia, Calif., was also named an Honorable Mention All-American for Horsemanship. She won 10 of the 13 Horsemanship events and earned three MVPs. Crivelli maintained an average score of 74 throughout the season.
These three Bulldogs and their teammates are preparing for the National Championships that will be held in Waco, Texas on April 12-14, 2012.
