FRESNO, Calif. - After the Fresno State equestrian teams opens the 2009-10 season next Saturday, Sept. 26 against New Mexico State, Bulldog fans will have the chance to kick back country style at the Bulldog Barnyard Bash in the Animal Science Pavilion. The evening runs from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. highlighted by some of Fresno State's best food and entertainment. "This will be a fun night," head equestrian coach Becky Malmo said of the kickoff special. "We are looking forward to kicking up our boots for an exciting night of dancing, music and food as a great way to end our first day of competition this year." In country casual attire, Dr. Malmo and her team will host the Red Wave for a buffet barbeque buffet including the tasty trip-trip, pulled pork and chicken. A roping instruction and a fun night of dancing are on the slate with music provided by the Sierra Cowboy Riders. The Bash also includes a silent and live auction.
