    Joan Pitcock enters her first season as a volunteer assistant for the Fresno State women's golf team.

    Under first-year head coach Emily Milberger, Pitcock joins the Bulldogs after a successful career on the LPGA Tour.

    In 1987, Pitcock qualified for the LPGA Tour by tying for 14th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 1988 season. In 1988, her rookie season, she posted her career-low score of 63 during the second round of the Mitsubishi Motors Ocean State Open and tied for second. In 1995, posted five top-10 finishes, including a season-best tie for third at the Standard Register PING. Pitcock then became a Rolex First-Time Winner in 1996 at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic. Two years later, in 1998, she crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings at the Wegmans Rochester International. In 2000, she recorded her first career hole-in-one during the first round of the season-opening The Office Depot.

    Pitcock is a Fresno native and attended Clovis West High School. She credits her family as the individuals who most influenced her career.
