STANFORD, Calif. -- Junior Madchen Ly led the Bulldogs in their first tournament of the spring season to finish among the top-25 of the 75-player field.

Competing in the Peg Barnard Invitational, Ly fired eight-over par, 150 (74-76) and sat four strokes from the top-ten. On the tournament, Ly made seven birdies and finished in a tie for 21st place.

"This was a good finish by Madchen," head coach Emily Milberger said. "She's really finding some rhythm in her game and I'm excited to see what's in store for her this season."

In round two, the 'Dogs decreased their round one score by seven strokes to card 302 on the day. The Bulldogs finished the tournament in 13th place at 43-over par, 611 (309-202).

"We had a solid round today to finish off this event strong," Milberger said. "There were some good things happening out there and now we've got two weeks of hard work before we tee it up again."

The Bulldogs return to action on March 3-4 at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational in San Jose, Calif.
