Bulldogs in Ninth Through First Round at Kitahara Fresno State Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State shot an opening-round 305 on the first day of its home tournament at Copper River Country Club to stand in ninth place in the 19-team field. UC Irvine is in first place after shooting a 3-under 285, New Mexico State is in second with 294 (+6) and Long Beach State stands in third place with 296 (+8).
UC Irvine's Selanee Henderson sits atop the leaderboard with a 5-under 67.
Laura Luethke (34-39) leads the Bulldogs and is tied for 10th place with 73. Adrianna Chico (40-36) and Jennifer Shipley (40-36) are both tied for 32nd after shooting 76s, and Brittany Cooley (42-38) is tied for 65th with 80. Yumi Chung (46-41) shot 87 and is in 98th.
Playing as individuals, Meggie Fagundes (38-36 - 74) is tied for 15th, Taylor Siebert (41-35 - 76) is tied for 32nd, and Marissa Patterson (42-41 - 83) and Robyn Boertje (43-40 - 83) are tied for 85th.
The second and final round will be played Tuesday with tee times starting at 8 a.m.
