FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs teed off today for their one and only tournament in Fresno all season. The women's golf team is hosting the Fresno State Lexus Golf Classic at Copper River Country Club and they concluded rounds one and two today. After playing 36 holes, the Bulldogs are sitting in tenth place with a score of 636, which is 35 strokes behind the leader of the tournament and last year's champion, UC Davis.

Junior Louisa Lies shined through the windy weather today and is currently sitting in fifth place in the annual Lexus tournament. She shot a 78 in round one, a 71 in round two, and had 26 putts. Her score of 71 was the second lowest score for round two. She is leading the tournament in Par 4 scoring at even par and is second in birdies after she recorded seven of them on the course today. Lies is just four strokes behind the current leader, Katrina Hegge, from San Francisco.

Freshman Christine Uhalde, who is playing as an individual for the tournament, swung her way in to 25th place with a score of 157 and five birdies.

The Bulldogs will continue their tournament tomorrow morning at Copper River Country Club .
