    FRESNO, Calif. - At the WAC Championship in Mesa, Ariz., the Fresno State women's golf team finished the second day of competition in seventh place.

    The Bulldogs are being led by sophomore Shaylee Yano's 11-over, 153 which put her in a tie for 14th going into the final day of competition Sunday. Yano (75-78--153) ended her round with a birdie on the 492-yard, par-5 18th hole.

    Chelsea Czinski (77-77--154), a senior from El Dorado Hills, Calif., matched her total from Friday to finish tied for 16th at 12-over.

    Freshman Christine Uhalde added three more birdies to her total giving her six so far in the tournament. Uhalde (75-80--155) currently sits in a tie for 18th place with a 13-over.

    Krysta Clark (81-81--162) and Louisa Lies (82-80--162) are both at 20-over, putting them in a tie for 30th place.

    Two-time defending champion San Jose State gained control of first place by carding a 4-over on the day. New Mexico State shot a tournament leading 2-over to position themselves one stroke behind the top spot.

    Madeleine Ziegert of San Jose State jumped into the individual lead after firing a 4-under, 67 during the second round. No. 15 Kayla Mortellaro is right behind Ziegert at 2-under.

    The WAC Championship will conclude Sunday with the Dogs teeing off at 8:10 a.m.
