    FRESNO, Calif. - Freshman Laura Luethke, representing Fresno State as an individual at the NCAA Women's Golf Western Regional, shot an opening-round 76 (+4) at the par-72 New Mexico State University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M., to stand in a 13-way tie for 32nd place overall.

    Tennessee is leading the field with 291, and USC is in second with 293. Rachel Newren of BYU and Sophia Sheridan of California are tied for first after both shooting a 3-under 69.

    Kay Hoey of Long Beach State and Renee Skidmore of Idaho, who are also competing as individuals in the region, shot 74 and 77, respectively.
