    FRESNO, Calif. - Senior Laura Luethke and junior Taylor Siebert lead the Fresno State women's golf team after two rounds at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic at the Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins, Colo. Luethke shot a second round 73 along with her first round of 74 to finish 3-over on the day tied for 10th place. Luethke leads the Bulldogs after previously winning the title in 2004.

    Fresno State (306-312 - 618/+42) will enter the third and final round in 13th place out of 20 teams. California (581) is the current leader 11 strokes ahead of Colorado (592). Washington State (593) is in third place followed by BYU (596) and Idaho (598) to round out the top five.

    Siebert (148/+4) shot a first round of 73 and followed with a second round of 75 to finish tied for 17th place. Sophomores Hali Coppin (79-81- 160) tied for 74th and Pia Escandon (80-83 - 163) tied for 86th. Whitney Yano finished 104th with 87-86-173.

    "Taylor and Laura both had a good first day," said head coach Angie Cates. "Taylor has been hitting the ball great and Laura's short game is very solid right now. They both made a lot of birdies today and we are looking forward to a solid final round for our team and hopefully moving up the leader board."
