Fresno, Calif. --The Fresno State women's golf team took first place in its third tournament of the fall season. Along with a team victory, the Bulldogs made a tournament record with a total score of 885 (291-289-305).

"This team has worked really hard and to get a win today is outstanding," head coach Angie Cates-Moore said. "Anytime you win a golf tournament it is a very big deal because you are not just competing between one other team or one individual. There were 19 teams and 104 individuals on the field this weekend, so winning this golf tournament is a very big deal and a huge accomplishment for our team."
The 'Dogs played 54 holes during the two-day tournament at Classic Club in Palm Springs, Calif.
Ly made five birdies today and shot two under par for a second place finish. She completed the tournament with a total score of 217 (70-77-70).

"To have three out of five players finish in the top five is really great to see," Cates-Moore said. "They all deserve credit for their hard work and determination this season and I am very happy for our entire team."
Shaylee Yano finished in the top 25. Yano shot 12 over par (75-72-81--228) and tied for 21st place.
