Fresno, Calif.-- The Fresno State women's golf team completed the final round of its fall season Tuesday, Oct. 23 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Bulldogs took 14th place (311-310-305--926) at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.
During the first two rounds of the tournament the 'Dogs faced heavy gusts of wind, but were relieved as the breezy wind decreased to 15-20mph during round three.
Bulldog Christine Uhalde shot two under par in her final, 18-hole round and finished in a tie for 42nd place. Uhalde (82-80-70--232) made three birdies during round three for a total of five birdies during the tournament.
"Christine had a great comeback today," head coach Angie Cates-Moore said. "To shoot two under par in breezy conditions is really solid golf. We are happy she was able to finish her fall season on a great note."
Madchen Ly shot 12 over par for a total score of 228 (78-72-78) and finished in a tie for 29th place.
Shaylee Yano (78-76-78--232) finished in a tie for 42nd place.
The Bulldog's fall season came to a close as the 'Dogs came off the 18th hole at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The Bulldogs will now prepare for their spring season which tees off on Feb. 16 in Stanford, Calif. at the Peg Barnard Invitational.
