Bulldogs Finish At Santa Clara Invitational

    FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team completed their fourth tournament of the fall semester and finished in third place. The `Dogs final score at the Santa Clara Invitational was 620 which was just ten shots behind the number one team, Boston College.

    "We struggled a little bit today," said head coach Angie Cates-Moore.

    Senior Chelsea Czinski played very steady both days and ended the tournament in fourth place. Czinski was just two shots behind the winner of the tournament, Miki Ueoka, from Santa Clara University.

    "Chelsea did a good job this week," Cates-Moore said about the senior. "She was committed to her shots and looked very positive playing today. This was one of her better tournaments and it was fun to watch her play."

    Junior Louisa Lies finished the tournament in fifth place, just one stroke behind Czinski.

    "As a team this was a big learning experience for us," said Cates-Moore.

    The `Dogs will return to the green when they tee off at the Cal Poly Invitational next week.
