Bulldogs Bound for Spartan Invite

    FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State women's golf team will compete in its second tournament of the spring season on March 3-4 in San Jose, Calif.

    The Bulldogs will tee off the 2014 Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational at the par-72, 6,162-yard Almaden Golf and Country Club. This will be the 'Dogs tenth appearance at the San Jose State University hosted tournament.

    "This is such a great time right now as we have had a couple weeks to prepare for this next event," head coach Emily Milberger said. "The team has taken some great feedback from our first event and we've made some strong strides in our practices. We are ready to head to SJSU! This is a great event with a good field and Im looking forward to some strong finishes."

    The Bulldog lineup includes Madchen Ly, Hannah Sodersten, Guðrún Björgvinsdóttir, Laura Scrivner, and Hillary Billingsley.

    The two-day tournament features 13 teams including top-35 teams, No. 20 Oregon and No. 35 UC Davis, according to the latest Golfstat rankings released on February 26.
