FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State women's golf team will host six teams at the annual Fresno State Classic on March 17-18.
"I am thrilled to be hosting the 2014 Fresno State Classic this upcoming week," head coach Emily Milberger said.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,212-yard Copper River Country Club.
"We have an enormous amount of experience on this course within our team and I know that home course advantage will play a big role in how we perform this week," Milberger said.
San Jose State, Sacramento State, Nevada, Boise State, University of San Francisco, and CSU Northridge will travel to the Central Valley to compete in the Fresno State hosted tournament.
The Bulldog lineup includes Madchen Ly, Guðrún Brá Björgvinsdóttir, Hannah Sodersten, Hillary Billingsley, and Krysta Clark. Playing as an individual is Laura Scrivner, Sandra 'Sandy' Livas, Taylor Wilkinson, and Alison Timlin.
"This is always an exciting time as we get to compete at home and we have good momentum right now as we look to make a run for not only an individual title, but a team title as well," Milberger said.
This will be the Bulldog's third tournament of the spring season after competing in the Peg Barnard Invitational and Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational.
The tournament format is set for two, 18-hole rounds on day one and one, 18-hole round on day two. Competition will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. each day.
