FRESNO, Calif. -- With the first win of the 2013-14 season in the record book, the Fresno State women's golf team will use the momentum of its impressive tie breaking victory to compete for the Anuenue Spring Break Classic title on March 24-26.
"This is such an exciting time of year for us and we undoubtedly have a lot of momentum heading to Hawaii," head coach Emily Milberger said. "Coming off a win at home I know the ladies are looking forward to getting back into action at one of the world's most beautiful destinations."
The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,012-yard Kapalua Bay Course in Kapalua, Hawai'i.
Similar to the plan they followed to win the Fresno State Classic, the Bulldog's have strategized another plan to win their second tournament title of the season.
"This event has a strong field but we have building confidence and rhythm all spring and I know this will prove to be another exciting week for the Bulldogs," Milberger said. "I anticipate another great showing from Madchen coming off our home event, she's got nothing but excellent golf ahead for her."
Also competing for the title is No. 10 ranked Washington, No. 15 ranked Pepperdine, Cal Poly, Colorado, Hawai'I, Long Beach State, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle University, UC Davis, UC Riverside.
The tournament will tee off each day with a shotgun start at 8:45 PT.
