FRESNO, Calif. -
Women's golf will cross the Pacific to compete in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic on the island of Maui. The tournament, held at the 6,112-yard, par-72 Kapalua Bay Course, hosted by the University of Hawai'i. The `Dogs are coming off their fourth top 5 performance of the season with a third place finish at their home tournament, the Fresno State Lexus Classic.

Impressive Finish Keep `Dogs in Third
The Bulldogs used an impressive run on the back nine to close out the Fresno State Lexus Classic in a tie for third out of 13 teams. The `Dogs were 15-over after the first nine holes but shot a 1-over the rest of the way to finish the tournament at 46-over (302-302-306--910). This was their fourth top 5 finish of the season out of seven tournaments. Both Christine Uhalde and Shaylee Yano finished in the top spot for the 'Dogs, tying for seventh at 10-over.
Uhalde Honored for Stanford Title
Sophomore Christine Uhalde was awarded both the WAC Golfer of the Week and Bulldog Student-Athlete of the week for her performance at the Peg Barnard Invitational in Stanford, Calif. Uhalde tied for the individual title at the tournament hosted by Stanford, her first medalist honor of her collegiate career. She fired a 1-under, 70 during the first round, marking both her lowest round of her career and the only under-par performance on the day. Uhalde finished the two-round tournament at 3-over par (70-75--145).
