    FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs return to action after a week off to compete in the Anteater Invitational, the last regular season event of the season.

    Monday (March 29): 8:30 a.m. PT (shotgun start), 36-holes
    Tuesday (March 30): 8 a.m. PT (tee times), 18-holes

    Last Time Out
    Louisa Lies claimed her first individual title and the Dogs finished in fourth place at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii. Fresno State (305-304-301--910) finished just six strokes behind leader Rollins in the 17-team field. Fresno State finished 12 shots ahead of Nevada, which was fifth place. Fresno State has five Top 5 finishes this season. Chelsea Czinski played another solid round with a 77 and tied for 19th place, her best tournament of the season. Senior Hali Coppin moved up 22 spots to finish tied for 24th after a round of 74, while Maria Pia Escandon (89-76-82--238) and Lindi Covarrubias (79-83-76--238) tied for 42nd place. Covarrubias moved up 13 spots with a solid third round.

    Lies Named Golf World Magazine National Player of the Week
    Louisa Lies (66-76-74--216) went wire to wire after opening with a tournament low of 66 and was selected the Golf World National Player of the Week. Her three round score of 216 is right up there with former winners of this event Anika Sorenstam of Arizona, who shot a 212 in 1992, and Natalie Gulbis, who carded a 216 in 2001. Lies was the only player to shoot par for the tournament, winning the event by five strokes.

    "We Are Your Team!" The Bulldog women's golf team will compete in the 2010 Anteater Invitational hosted by the University of California Irvine March 29-30 at the Dove Canyon Country Club.
