'Dogs Compete in Final Tourney before Championship

FRESNO, Calif. -- Following a two-week streak of no competition, the Fresno State women's golf team will hit the green again for its final tournament before the Mountain West Championship.
The Bulldogs travel to Napa, Calif. to compete in the co-hosted, first-ever Silverado Showdown on April 14-15. The tournament will be held at Silverado Resort and Spa is co-hosted by University of Oregon and University of Colorado.
"I am looking forward to heading to Napa this weekend as we have been building a lot of confidence and momentum in this last month and it's the perfect time to be playing some of our best golf this year," head coach Emily Milberger said.
Among the 14-team field are Oregon, Arizona, California, Oregon State, New Mexico, Northwestern, San Diego State, Colorado, San Jose State, Southern California, UNLV, Washington, Washington State, and Wisconsin.
"This is a strong and competitive field, but the team has been working very hard since we returned from Hawaii and they are ready to make a solid statement before we head into conference play the following week.
The tournament will begin each day at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
