    FRESNO, Calif.-- The Fresno State women's golf team tees off its first Mountain West Championship on Thursday, April 25 in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

    The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,324-yard Dinah Shore Tournament Course at the Mission Hills Country Club.

    "We are so excited to be at the Mountain West Championship this week," head coach Angie Cates Moore said. "They are putting on a first-class event at an amazing golf course. It is a great experience for all these athletes to be able to play where the LPGA hosts a major championship every year."

    The Bulldogs will face seven other MW foes including 45th-ranked UNLV, 75th-ranked San Diego State and 87th-ranked New Mexico.

    According to GolfStat, the Bulldogs rank 83rd among the division and third among the conference.

    The Bulldog lineup includes Madchen Ly, Hannah Sodersten, Krysta Clark, Hillary Billingsley and Shaylee Yano.

    Sophomore Madchen Ly sits in fourth of the MW leaderboard following sophomore Dana Finkelstein of UNLV who sits in first. Trailing behind Ly is freshman Hannah Sodersten who ranks ninth and third among freshman.

    In round one, the Bulldogs are paired with UNLV and Boise State and will tee off at 7:30 a.m.
