`Dogs Open Season at Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - Head coach Angie Cates-Moore's squad will compete in its first tournament of the season - the Ptarmigan/Ram Classic, hosted by Colorado State - on Sept. 8-9 at the 54-hole, par 72 Ptarmigan Golf Course in Fort Collins, Colo. This event features four teams that competed in NCAA Regional action - Cal, Fresno State, Louisville and San Jose State.
"We are ready to compete." Cates-Moore said. "Everyone believes we can meet our expectations this season. Taylor has been working hard on the course. I look for her to have a good start for our fall season." The 54-hole tournament begins with two rounds on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., and the final round tees off Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
The Bulldogs will compete in an 19-team field including Cal, Colorado State, Colorado, Montana State, Fresno State, Wyoming, Baylor, Long Beach State, UTEP, San Jose State, Texas Tech, Idaho, San Francisco, New Mexico State, Campbell, BYU, Northern Colorado, Louisville, and Washington State.
Cal won the tournament last year with a score of four over 868.
"Join the State - Fresno State!"-The Fresno State women's golf team hits the road on Sept. 22-23, to play at the OSU Giustina Memorial Invitational in Corvallis, Ore.
