    FRESNO, Calif. --

The women's golf team travels south for its third tournament of the fall season. The 'Dogs will tee off the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.

This is the second consecutive year the Bulldogs have played in this 18-hole, par-72, 6,119-yard tournament. The two-day tournament, hosted by Wyoming, will be held at Classic Club in Palm Springs, Calif.

"We are looking forward to getting back to some warmer weather and a friendlier golf course," head coach Angie Cates-Moore said. "It should be a great experience for us."

Classic Club is a beautiful and picturesque course that features pine, olive and pepperwood trees along with many acres of lake and water elements. Additionally, the course is surrounded by the mountains and landscape exclusive to the Coachella Valley.

"The experience we had earlier this week in playing with such great teams and on such a high-level golf course is really going to give us an edge the rest of the season," Cates-Moore said. "The fact that they played on Sahalee earlier this week is really going to help them the rest of the year, in particularly this week. We could face some high winds on the golf course in Palm Springs and I think they are going to manage it much better now because they tested their games to the max earlier this week."

The 'Dogs lineup includes freshman Hannah Sodersten, who finished in the top 25 of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at Sahalee Country Club. The lineup also includes Madchen Ly, Christine Uhalde, Shaylee Yano and Taylor Wilkinson. Krysta Clark is also joining the Bulldogs and playing as an individual at the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate.

"We hope to play well this week," Cates-Moore said. "We feel that we have faced some great teams earlier this week that have prepared us for a higher level of competition and we feel good about where our game is."
