Julia Decker is entering her second season as an assistant lacrosse coach with Fresno State. Decker worked primarily with the attacking unit in her first season with the Bulldogs, helping the team to their best scoring year yet. The Bulldogs recorded a season-best 147 points and 115 goals in 2013.
Decker joined the Bulldogs in 2012 from Hilbert College, where she was the head women's lacrosse coach from 2011-2012. At Hilbert College Dekcer helped build a first year varsity program from club status.
Prior to her year at Hilbert College, she was the assistant women's lacrosse coach at SUNY Geneseo, where she helped lead them to the SUNYAC Semi-Finals in 2010 and 2011. In her second year at Geneseo, Decker expanded her coaching background and was also the assistant coach for the field hockey program. The team went 18-2 and won the SUNYAC championship, making it to the 1st round of the NCAA tournament, which was the programs first NCAA appearance.
Decker played at the College at Brockport from 2005-2009, where her team won the ECAC Championships in 2008 and were finalists in 2007. She finished her college career as the Offensive player of the year in 2009 with 204 points (2nd on the college's all-time list) and 141 goals (3rd on the college's all-time list).
The Penn Yan, NY native graduated with a Bachelor degree in Physical Education from The College at Brockport in 2008, and received a Master's of Science in Education in Athletic Administration from SUNY Brockport in December of 2012.
