DENVER-The Fresno State lacrosse team came up short against Winthrop on Friday night. The `Dogs dropped their road game to the Eagles, 17-10.

The Bulldogs had a hard time finding the back of the net in the first 30 minutes of play, Winthrop led 10-2 going into halftime. The Bulldogs were able to put eight more on the scoreboard in the second half, though were not able to hold the Eagles on the defensive third of the field.

Freshman attacker Anjelica Fuccillo led the Bulldogs with three goals. Natalie Harrington and Margaret Wolford added two goals a piece in the team effort.

With a goal and two assists, Marcy Levatino combined for three points for the Bulldogs.

Fresno State (1-2) play MPSF opponent Denver this Sunday, March 10 at 10 a.m. PT.
