    BERKELEY, Calif. - The Fresno State women's lacrosse team dropped a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation road game at California on Tuesday afternoon, falling 18-4 in Berkeley, Calif.

    The Bulldogs are now 2-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play, while California improved to 7-5 overall and 4-2 in MPSF action.

    Fresno State hung around in the first half, closing with two goals to cut the lead to 9-3 at the break. In the second half, Cal pulled away, outscoring Fresno State 9-1.

    Four players had goals for the 'Dogs, including Lauren Natale, Marcy Levatino, Holly Cisneros and Natalie Harrington. Natale aslo added one assist.

    Overall, Paula Badali had two draw controls and Ashley Phillips had two caused turnovers and two ground balls. In net, Katie Wilbur had nine saves and four ground balls, while Lisa Barnaba added two saves.

    Fresno State returns home to face MPSF opponent Denver on Friday, April 13 at 3 p.m. in Bulldog Stadium.
