Lacrosse Loses In MPSF Home Game

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's lacrosse team started slow against first place Denver, but had a strong second half, eventually falling 17-4 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play Friday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium.
The Bulldogs (2-9, 0-5 MPSF) came out in the second half and outscored the Pioneers (11-1, 5-0 MPSF) 4-3 over the final 30 minutes of the game.
In the second half, Holly Cisneros scored two goals and had three draw controls, while going 1-for-1 on free position attempts.
Briana Hetherington had one goal and one assist and Paula Badali added a goal. In goal, Katie Wilbur added four saves. Defensively, Ashley Phillips had four ground balls and two caused turnovers and Kasandra Martinson won two draw controls and had two ground balls.
Fresno State will play in its final home game of the season on Wednesday, April 18 at 3 p.m. against Saint Mary's. It will also be senior day at Bulldog Stadium.
