Neutral Games at McAlister Field
Fresno State hits the road this weekend for its first neutral site game of the season at McAlister Field in Los Angeles, Calif. The Bulldogs were 1-2 in neutral games in 2013- their one neutral win was a season opening victory over Presbyterian at McAlister Field. The 'Dogs defeated Presbyterian 17-14 in a charge that was led by junior Marcy Levatino who scored a school recording-setting seven goals for the 'Dogs. Six other Bulldogs scored in the team effort, including sophomore attacker Anjelica Fuccillo with four goals and two assists.
Fuccillo Leading the 'Dogs
After three games, Anjelica Fuccillo leads Fresno State with five goals. Fuccillo is the only Bulldog to score in all three games this season. The sophomore midfielder scored two goals in the win over Monmouth, had one goal at Wager and found the back of the net twice more against No. 18 Denver. Of Fuccillo's 11 shots this season, nine of them were on goal.
The freshman Bulldog class has made an impact across the field in their first three collegiate games. Freshman attacker Allison Poust leads the class with four goals which ranks second on the team. In Fresno State's season opener Poust scored three goals off the bench to lead the Bulldogs to an 8-6 victory over Monmouth on Feb. 16. Fellow freshman Brooke Filgo and Caroline Dineen-Carlson have recorded one goal apiece this season. Dineen-Carlson also recorded one assist at MU and leads the 'Dogs with eight draw controls.
