Bulldogs Host Long Island

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's lacrosse team is set to play their second home game in a row this season on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Bulldog Stadium against Long Island University. After their home opener on Wednesday versus the University of New Hampshire, the Bulldogs have two days to take care of the details and prepare for this weekend. Long Island University is 0-5 this season with three road losses and two back-to-back home games. Shakoya Smith leads the Blackbirds offense with 13 goals, one assist and five caused turnovers. Fresno State is 0-2 and is led in scoring by midfielders Paula Badali with three goals and Kara Concheck with two. Lisa Baranaba stepped up in between the pipes with seven saves in the second half against New Hampshire. For the Fans The first 75 fans in attendance to the game will receive a FREE autism awareness t-shirt. Also, before the faceoff a kindergarten class from Herndon-Barstow Elementary school that has worked closely with the Fresno State lacrosse team will be joining the Bulldogs on the turf for the national anthem and starting line-ups.
