FRESNO, Calif.- After finishing its first five games of the season, the Fresno State lacrosse team is 1-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

The `Dogs face their next game on Thursday, March 21 at 12 p.m. PT against Albany in Albany N.Y. Coming off a 15-13 loss to No. 14 Cornell, the Great Danes (4-3) are led by midfielder Rachel Bowles with 21 goals.

Fresno State is 1-2 in non-conference matchups this season. The competitive schedule they face on the East Coast will prepare the team for the rest of their season in conference play.

"It's really great for us to get back to the East Coast and be able to challenge ourselves with teams out there that have been established for years," said head coach Jessica Pausewang. "It's a good push for us going into conference play, I'm really excited for where we are going to end up in conference this year."

The Bulldogs leading scorer Anjelica Fuccillo has 11 goals and 13 points this season. Marcy Levatino has a total of nine goals and 13 points on the year and leads the team with 16 draw controls.

After playing Albany the `Dogs have a five day break before playing No. 15/16 Stony Brook on March 26 at 4 p.m. PT. The team then plays Manhattan and Colombia before returning to California where they will face Stanford on April 2 at 5 p.m. PT.
