'Dogs Head Out East

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's lacrosse team is headed east to take on Jacksonville and Florida this week. The Bulldogs play the Dolphins on Tuesday, March 27 at 1 p.m. PT and the Gators on Wednesday, March 28 at 3:30 p.m. PT. The 'Dogs triumphed to yet another win in Bulldog Stadium last Thursday afternoon against Central Connecticut, taking down the Blue Devils by 10 points with a final score of 18-8. Jacksonville is 6-2 this season with six-straight home wins up until it fell to Cornell 22-13. Ali Hoffman leads the Dolphins offense with 17 goals, seven assists and eight caused turnovers. Florida is 10-2 this season with losses to No.3 North Carolina and No. 9 Syracuse. Kitty Cullen leads the Gators offense with 29 goals and 20 assists. Fresno State is 2-3 and is led in scoring by sophomore Briana Hetherington, who has posted hat tricks three games in a row. Defensively Katie Wilbur leads the 'Dogs between the pipes with 49 saves.
