FRESNO, Calif. --- The Fresno State lacrosse team hosted its former players in an annual alumni game on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs came out on top, defeating their alumni 10-5 in the scrimmage.
"It was really nice having all of our alumni back, I think this is the biggest turnout we have hard, " said Fresno State head coach Jessica Pausewang. "Getting a chance to see the old 'Dogs play the new 'Dogs was a lot of fun, it is nice to grow the culture of the program growing."
Celebrating five years of Fresno State lacrosse alumni, the Bulldogs has their largest crowd of 17 alumni travel back to Fresno for the scrimmage.
Alumni who participated included Jennifer Smith, Callie Seidman, Sarah Weeks, Christina Cabias, Molly Sovacool, Kasandra Martinson, Kohl Berry, Katie Wilbur, Vanessa Swalwell, Margaret Wolford, Marshai Iverson, Krisdina Gehring, Diana Aguilar, Amira Ferrell, Paula Badali, Heather Jack and Sara Weber.
"It was great to be back in the stadium with our teammates for the alumni game," said former player Callie Seidman (2008-2012). "It's great to come back and see how the program is growing. Fresno State lacrosse will always hold a special place in our hearts and it's great to be able to come back and play together again."
The 'Dogs return to Bulldog Stadium to continue conference play on April 10 when they host St. Mary's for Senior Night at 5 p.m.
