FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's lacrosse team heads to the Bay Area to compete against Cal Tuesday, April 10 at 1 p.m. to continue conference play.

The 'Dogs had a rough spring break last week as they went 0-2 against Stanford in Bulldog Stadium and then against Oregon, falling 21-4. Despite the Bulldogs record this is the best season they have had since the program started three years ago.

Cal is 6-5 with season records of home (1-3), away (4-2) and a neutral site (1-0). Junior Megan Takacs leads the Golden Bears attack with 45 goals, 5 assists, 11 ground balls, 56 draw controls and three caused turnovers. Starting goalkeeper Megan McGinnis has 85 saves this season, leading Cal's defense.

Fresno State is 2-7 and led in scoring by Briana Hetherington with 13 goals and Kara Concheck with 12. Hetherington has 10 ground balls, seven draw controls and three caused turnovers this season.

Following Cal, the Bulldogs return home Friday, April 13 at 3 p.m. to take on Denver in Bulldog Stadium.
