Lacrosse Ends Year With Team Banquet

FRESNO, Calif. - After concluding her second year as the Bulldogs head coach, Jessica Pausewang named Marcy Levatino Fresno State Lacrosse Player of the Year at the team's annual awards banquet. Family and friends gathered to honor the team and recognize individuals for their successes during the 2013 season. Below is a full list of award recipients.

The Bulldogs broke many school records in the program's fifth year, earning multiple conference honors for Fresno State.
The 'Dogs started the year strong, with a 17-14 win over Presbyterian in their season opener. In the win Levatino came off the bench to break multiple Fresno State records, including single-game records for most points and goals with seven, and the single-game draw control record with eight. In her college debut, Freshmen Anjelica Fuccillo added four goals and two assists, totaling for six points in the victory. The Bulldogs' dynamic duo earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation honors in the first week of play for their outstanding performances against the Blue Hose. Sweeping two of three awards on the week, Levatino was named MPSF Offensive Player of the Week and Fuccillo was named MPSF Rookie of the Week.
Senior goalkeeper Katie Wilbur became the third Bulldog of the season to earn MPSF honors after her personal best 17 saves against Denver. Wilbur's performance broke the Fresno State single-game save record and earned her Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Defensive Player of the Week for March 4-10.
After beginning the year 1-0, the 'Dogs went on to win one more road game in their 2013 season. Fresno State pulled off an 11-10 win over nonconference opponent Manhattan. Kara Concheck and Fuccillo led the team with three goals each in the victory.
Concheck finished the year with a team-high 22 goals and 28 points. The junior midfielder now holds the Fresno State all-time goal record with a total of 44 goals.
Holly Cisneros and Sophia Aragon concluded the season with a team-high 26 groundballs each. Cisneros finished her sophomore season second on the team with 25 draw controls and a team-high 10 caused turnovers.
Senior Natalie Harrington led the Bulldogs with eight assists in 2013 and finished her career leading the all-time assist record with 30 and the all-time points record with 67.
Wilbur finished her senior year at Fresno State with a personal best 113 saves. The senior goalkeeper finished her four year career as a Bulldog with 390 saves, holding the Fresno State all-time save record.
Levatino finished the season with a team-high 30 draw controls and second on the team with 18 goals and 24 points. In just her second year in a Fresno State uniform the sophomore midfielder was named to the 2013 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-MPSF Second-Team. Levatino is the second Fresno State lacrosse student-athlete to ever earn All-Conference honors.
