FRESNO, Calif. --- The Fresno State lacrosse team was named to the 2013 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic list on Monday evening.

"I'm extremely proud of the team for pulling off such an impressive GPA, their hard work and dedication to this growing program is evident," said head lacrosse coach Jessica Pausewang. "

The IWLCA recognized 65 schools as earning IWLCA Division I Academic Squad honors for the 2013 season. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned Academic Squad honors, including NCAA semifinalist Florida.

"I would especially like to thank our academic advisor, Terence Wan for going above and beyond working with our players every day to ensure our success off the field, "said Pausewang. "Natalie Nakic, Robert Pagesmith and Hanna Lantz are also a large part of our program taking care of our team's tutoring, special services and mentoring for their future after college. I am so thankful for our amazing support staff at Fresno State and I know our team appreciates how much of their time they give to us."

This is the fourth time that the Bulldogs have received IWLCA academic honors.
