FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's lacrosse team is set to hold its first ever fall scrimmage on Saturday afternoon on the lacrosse/soccer field. The Bulldogs will take on the Aztecs at 1p.m. prior to Football Fiesta Saturday night.

Hosting conference opponent San Diego State during fall play helps prepare the `Dogs for their 2013 season.

"We are looking forward to hosting San Diego State for our first home fall scrimmage in the history of the program," said head coach Jessica Pausewang. "It is wonderful for lacrosse in Fresno to be hosting a fall event and to have it the afternoon before a home Mountain West football game we will hopefully be getting a lot of support!"

In the second ever matchup between the two teams, Fresno State features sixteen returning players, including ten seniors. The veterans are joined by eight incoming freshmen to round out the roster for Pausewang as she enters her second year as head coach.

Fresno State is led by Briana Hetherington, the Bulldogs leading scorer from the 2012 season with sixteen goals and six assists, and senior Natalie Harringtonwith ten goals and thirteen assists.

Going into their final week of fall play, the Bulldogs look to end the fall season on a high note.
